Automation · Bots & integrations

Automation that does the boring work.

If a person repeats it every day, a bot can do it: collect data, fill forms, build reports, watch prices, connect your tools. We build reliable automations that run on a schedule, tell you when something needs attention, and respect the rules of the websites they touch. Below is what we automate, how it works inside, and every technology we use, in plain words.

What's inside an automation

Four steps. Every bot has them.

However big or small, every automation does the same four things in order. Knowing them makes every quote, every choice and every conversation with us easier.

A simple report bot needs a trigger and a messenger. A smart agent needs all four to be strong. We size each step to your goal, so you never pay for what you do not need.

  1. 01

    The trigger

    Start

What makes the bot start: a schedule, a new email, a form submission, a webhook from another tool, or a button press.

    What this layer does

    • Starts exactly when it should
    • Never runs twice by accident
    • Queues work when it gets busy

    We use

    • Cron
    • Webhooks
    • Queues
    • Email triggers
  2. 02

    The collector

    Collect

How the bot gets the information: it calls an official API when there is one, or opens a browser and reads or fills pages when there is not.

    What this layer does

    • Prefers official APIs and feeds
    • Uses a real browser when needed
    • Respects each site's rules and limits

    We use

    • Playwright
    • Python
    • Scrapy
    • REST APIs
  3. 03

    The thinker

    Decide

What the bot does with the data: clean it, check it against your rules, spot odd values, and sometimes let AI read messy text.

    What this layer does

    • Cleans and standardises data
    • Applies your rules every time
    • Flags anything unusual for a person

    We use

    • Pandas
    • Rules
    • AI models
    • OCR
  4. 04

    The messenger

    Deliver & report

How the result reaches you: a row in a sheet, a record in your CRM, a PDF by email, a WhatsApp message, or an alert when something fails.

    What this layer does

    • Updates your tools automatically
    • Sends reports where people read them
    • Alerts you the moment anything breaks

    We use

    • Google Sheets
    • CRM APIs
    • WhatsApp Business
    • Slack

Languages

Automation languages are chosen for their libraries and how easy the bots are to keep working.

Nothing in this group is trending right now. Switch the filter off to see everything.

    Trending

JavaScript with types, so many mistakes are caught while we write. It is the natural partner of Playwright and web apps.

    Use it for
Browser bots and tools that live near web apps
    Trade-off
A little more typing up front, far fewer bugs later.
  • JavaScript (browser)

    Industry standard

The language that runs inside web pages, used for browser extensions and small page helpers.

    Use it for
    Chrome extensions and in-page tools
  • Go

Nothing in this group is trending right now. Switch the filter off to see everything.

  • Playwright

    Trending

Microsoft's modern browser-control tool. It drives Chrome, Firefox and Safari's engine, waits for pages automatically and is very reliable.

    Use it for
Bots that run on a schedule, at scale
  • AI browser agents

    Trending

Agents that look at a page and decide what to click, which helps on sites that change often.

    Use it for
Flexible tasks that are hard to script
    Trade-off
Slower and costlier than a scripted bot, so used where it pays.
  • Headless mode

    Industry standard

Running a browser with no visible window, so bots run quietly on a server.

    Use it for
    Every scheduled bot

About the tags: they are our judgement from public developer surveys, such asState of JS 2025and theStack Overflow Developer Survey 2025, plus what we see in real projects. They shift every year, and a tool that is not trending can still be exactly the right one.

Built in, not bolted on

Every automation gets these.

Whatever the technology, these six things are part of every automation project, and we show you how each one is checked.

  • Reliable

It runs when it should, handles hiccups, and does not quietly stop.

    How we check

Retries with sensible waits, checks that results look right, and a test run against the real sites before it goes live.

  • Respectful and legal

It collects and uses data fairly, and does not harm the sites it visits.

    How we check

Official APIs first, then terms and robots.txt reviewed, rate limits, caching, and no misuse of personal data. We flag risks, and you decide.

  • Visible

You can always see what the bot did and what it found.

    How we check

Every run is logged, with screenshots on failure, a simple dashboard, and a short daily or weekly summary.

  • Secure

Logins, keys and the data it handles stay protected.

    How we check

Credentials in a vault, never in code, least-privilege access, encrypted storage and a clear record of who can change what.

  • Maintained

Websites change and bots can break. Someone should notice before you do.

    How we check

Health checks and alerts on every run, plus an optional care plan where we fix breakages quickly.

  • Yours to keep

No lock-in. You own what you paid for.

    How we check

After final payment you own the source code and the accounts it runs on. We hand over clean, documented code and a short guide.

How we work

Automation FAQ

Automation questions, answered.

Still curious? Write to hello@shroytech.com and a real person replies within 24 hours.

Is web scraping legal?

It depends on what data, from where, and how it is collected and used. We use official APIs first, review a site's terms and robots.txt, limit our request rate, and avoid personal-data problems. We are not lawyers, so we flag risks clearly and recommend legal advice for sensitive cases.

What happens when a website changes and the bot breaks?

It happens, so we plan for it. Each run is checked, failures send you an alert, and screenshots show what changed. A maintenance plan means we fix it quickly, often before you notice.

Can you automate a site that has no API?

Yes. We use a real browser, with Playwright, that opens pages, logs in, clicks, fills forms and downloads files just like a careful person would, as long as the site's rules allow it.

Can a bot log in to my accounts?

Yes, with your permission. Credentials are kept in a secure vault, never in code, and we only automate accounts you own or are allowed to use. If a site forbids automated access, we will say so and suggest another way.

Can you automate WhatsApp?

We use Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform for confirmations, alerts and support chats. We do not automate personal WhatsApp accounts with unofficial tools, because that can get the number banned.

Where do the bots run, and how do I get the results?

Bots run on a small cloud server, a scheduled service, or your own computer, whatever suits the job. Results land where your team works: a Google Sheet, your CRM, email, a dashboard, WhatsApp or Slack.

How fast can an automation go live?

Simple automations can be live in 1–2 weeks. Connected workflows and AI agents take a few weeks more, because they need more testing. You see a working version early, so there are no surprises.

Can you build automated tests for my website or app?

Yes. We write tests that click through your site like a visitor, check your APIs and watch performance, and run them automatically on every change, so bugs are caught before your customers see them.
